Market Day!

Hello.. Hi.. Hey.. On Week 8 There is going to be a market at our school, everyone has crafted some wonderful things to sell at their stall, some people have made lip scrubs, bath bombs, fizzy bath salts, and Many many more items that I don't have the time to write down all of that stuff because I would rather be eating pringles right now... but I don't have the money to afford them because I am a child, 

Anyways...

enough about food, Wait... food... Ah right! Some people are also selling food, like cupcakes, cookies brownies, and a lot more, Now, I completely forgot to tell you what my group is selling.. Okay whatever we're selling Mini Tea bag rockets (And mini tinfoil rockets) we have already got a few of them in mini boxes ready to be given away to someone who actually wants one

I know what I'm going for first, Obviously I'm going for the Unicorn Nuggets (Cleo, Megan, Lucas, Christopher, Natalie) stand first the're selling some amazing Lip Scrubs they smell and Taste absolutely amazing! and of course you CAN'T forget about the Epic Fat Marshmallow Chubby Ponies (Katrina, Holly, Brent, George, Aleighya), The're selling Beautiful Bath bombs, I can't wait! 

The Tumu Production ~ Project Base Learning

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about cultural stories and the big question was;

What is the significance in the 21st Century of our Cultural stories?

First we brainstormed what culture is and came up with lots of ideas. Culture is where you came from, and the different things that different countries do, Culture could also be different food different countries provide and different holidays, 

Then we thought about our own culture and talked to our parents about our traditions and heritage. I wrote a post about my family and things we like to do.

In Literacy we read and discussed myths and legends from around the world then we concentrated on Maori legends. I read Maui And the Sun, and Battle of the Mountains.

We made a performance about the story Battle of the Mountains. Some students wrote the script, some students took on the job of making all the artwork, some worked hard on organising the music and others took on the role of bringing the story alive with dance and drama.

Reflection: 

For our production I contributed by Helping Hold up the cardboard phone and I also played the role as one of the children's friends, lastly I helped sew the Lava that we used when the two mountains came up behind Tongariro and spilled lava all over his back.

I think the show might impact on others by improving their stage fright, stepping outside of the box, and so on

What I learned about working with others was that you have to agree that not everyone does what you want and how you want thing's to be, and that not everything can go your way.

Splendid Swimming

Hey Bloggers and welcome back to another blog post, I will be talking to you about swimming, I went to swimming for 2 weeks with my class we did so many things it was really fun, but we had to have little 5 and 6 year old buddies it was hard ;~; anyways the last three days we did exciting things, on Wednesday we used life jackets and sat on the side of pool we had to link arms and closed our eyes and the instructor chose one person and pushed them in the pool that made everyone fall in, my friend said to me that once you hear a scream and it gets closer to you it means your about to fall in which really scared me each time, once we were all in we had to swim to the other side and swim back with our arms still linked it was pretty hard but we did it, on Thursday they brought a small boat and we had to jump in the freezing pool and swim to the boat, once one person was in the boat they had to help everyone else and we had to pull each others life jackets from the shoulder part and pull each other into the boat, on Friday we had to wear our Pajamas in the POOL! we had to jump in without getting used to the water and it felt so weird mainly because I had thick fluffy Pajamas but anyways then we had to freestyle down to the other side of the pool it was really hard because I was sinking the whole time ;~; then after testing what it was like with clothes on in the water we had to take them off but don't worry we had togs on underneath luckily, then we had to do more freestyle and stuff and we jumped out and got changed and ready then hoped back on the bus and headed back to school, and had lunch and yeah, personally I really liked swimming I found it very fun to go to the pool everyday, it was really refreshing on hot days and i'm pretty sad that we finished it ;~; it went so fast probably because I enjoyed it a lot, anyways that's all I have to say thank you for reading stay tuned for another post, Byee. 

The Authors Purpose About Fortnite

In reading this week we read an article from Kiwi kids News about Fortnite. I had to talk about why I thought the author wrote this text. This is my follow up task:

I Think the author's purpose is that They are trying to say that fortnite is pretty bad because people are staying to late at night playing it and losing sleep and they don’t eat enough because they are playing this addictive game all day and some don’t even take breaks and they don’t have enough time to look after themselves, instead they are playing fortnite.

his could be a bad game because if some people lose they could get really angry and they could punch walls and be very aggressive, My opinion would be that I think it’s really bad for young kids because it’s shooting and killing others and I think that is bad for a kid to see.

I personally don’t like this game, I think it’s Bad for the kids to be killing people on a virtual world because it makes them more violent in the real world and that causes them when they grow up they will have a a gun and not use it right they might even shoot someone.

What is your opinion About Fortnite?

Meerkats Story

- In The Tumu Hub we have been learning about speech marks and apostrophe's, We learnt that the apostrophe combines words into one Example: it is - it's || Was not - Wasn't || Here is a Story I wrote using Apostrophe's

I wake up from my long nap, I get up and check if there was any fruit high in the tree's, I spot a Nice ripe fruit high up in the tree, I call my sibling's, they pop their head's up out of their holes and they spot the fruit too, we all go running for the fruit I see everyone rush ahead of me and scramble up the tree, we all take turn's trying to reach the fruit it’s no use so we all jump down and watch the fruit till it fall's, Suddenly I saw a the Eagles Shadow, me and my sibling's all charge for our hole's, The Eagle spots the fruit, he reaches out to grab it and only just got a grip of it, then he strongly flew off the branch with the fruit, We run after him, one of my brother's grab his foot and then we all jump on and grab on to each other, the Eagle was trying to bump us off then all of a sudden he flew into a cliff me and my sibling's fall the Eagle drop's the fruit, the fruit rolled down the cliff, I run over to catch it I got it firmly in my hands I pass it around to my sibling's, Suddenly we feel like we are in a rugby game we pass the fruit around and kick it into the goal, it hits the ground hard and bursts, me and my Siblings all stand there and look at the remains of the yummy fruit, we all head back home with our head's hanging down, and what’s that? Another ripe yummy fruit? We run up the tree and look at it I reach out to grab it suddenly it fall’s but luckily my brother was down there to catch it, he only just got it in his hands he looks at it weirdly and suddenly he eats it.

Hello and welcome back to another one of my blog posts, today I will talking about my culture and where I come from so I hope you enjoy.

I am from Croatia, Croatia is Catholic, Each year they have a half of the year celebration, they drive on the right side of the road.

The waters are very nice and clear, we always went to the beach when we were there, me and family jumped off the dock, The place we stayed at used to be my Dida's old house, Dida is what I call my mums dad, Up the mountain there was goats, next to the goat pen there was long grass me and my cousins played in the grass and then someone came out and said "DON'T PLAY IN THE GRASS THERE COULD BE SNAKES" so we ran away back to the house C:

2018 PBL

Hey guys, Welcome Back to my blog! Today I will talk to you about My PBL For 2018. We got to choose a buddy to work with, so I choose my friend Ruby. Me and my buddy had to choose a question, our question was 'Could I get fit by running shorter distance or longer?' Me and my Buddy made a Slide with our videos that we made on it.
