Maths W11 T2 - Shapes

This week in my maths workshop we learn't about the confusing shapes for big year old's and if they were solid or non-platonic and how many sides corners and stuff there were and then you add that all together, here's my DLO because that probably made no seance.



Here is also my multi link cube we had to make and put together.



We also had to make our own shapes that when put together forms a 3 x 3 cube and draw our shapes out on a paper, here's my cube, shapes, and drawing.

Reading Task W11 T2 - Fever

This week in my reading workshop we did home base learning and I'm in group 2 for reading and we did the making predictions goal and we had to chose a book and I chose the book fever about a girl who goes on a school camping trip to an old place that used to be a hospital where some people died and everyone told her there were lots of ghost' and she was really scared but when she got there and she was in bed and she woke up she saw a ghost and it spoke to her then the next morning she went home early because she felt sick and she wasn't scared of the ghost anymore, here's my slide show for that task. Writing Task W10 T2

This week in my writing workshop we had to get some sentences from the narrative we made in week 8 and write if they were a simple sentence, a compound sentence, or a complex sentence, we then wrote how we started our paragraph and then re-made it to make it sound better and turn them into complex sentences, here's mine.

Reading Create W10 T2 Making Connections

In my reading workshop we had to chose 1 text to read and make a DLO and write atleast 4 things we could connect / relate to in the text, I read the story MeMe and Me, it was about a girl who saved up for her phone by working really hard and when she got it she got addicted to it and things just went wrong, here's my DLO

Maths task W10 T2 - Multiplication and Division

In my maths WS (Workshop) this week we did multiplication and division (Rounding and compensating) we had to make a DLO (digital learning object) and explain our understanding of rounding and compensating, we had to write 6 questions on our DLO, 3 multiplication and 3 division, both had to of had 1 decimal question, here's my DLO.

Writing Task W9 T2

This week in my WS (Workshop) we had to make a DLO and show our working, we had tons of different ways to show our learning to chose from, but I partnered up with Katrina and we wrote down 6 complex sentences, if you would like to look at it here it is.


Reading Task W9 T2

This week for my reading task we had to choose a sentence from the selection and put on a google drawing what we see when we read the sentence, this was my sentence I chose: The trees were still dripping from their soaking the previous night and the ground underfoot was soft pale mud, with fresh footprints. And this is my DLO.


Maths Task - Proportional Adjustment

This week in my maths WS (Workshop) we did proportional adjustment, and we had to make a DLO (Digital learning object) to show our knowledge of proportional adjustment, and on the DLO we had to explain the rules of proportional adjustment and show some examples, my hands are tired of writing proportional adjustment over and over.

Writing Task W7 T2

Last week in my writing WS (Workshop) we had to write a short narrative based on a poble picture we chose from the selection we were given, I chose the picture called the Magic Library:

Writing Task - The Perfect mushroom

In this weeks WS (Workshop) we had to create an 8 paragraph story and use a planning template with 8 boxes we had to fill out, you move the boxes up if it's a happy part of the story and you move them down when it's a sad part of the story, my story was called the perfect mushroom, and it was about a small elf girl named Miku and she finds the perfect mushroom to live in, if you would like to read my story here is the link.

(Here's my planning as well) it's not exactly accurate to what happens in my story I changed a few things up a wee bit.

Reading Task W5 T2

While we were in Lock down in my reading WS (Workshop) We had to read a text from the selection the teachers gave us and write on a DLO a small summary of the story, Questions we have for the Author, A tip for someone who is trying to complete the reading WS (workshop) Goal, and a time where the Mandala effect happened to me, if you would like to find out what the Mandala effect is take a look at my DLO and read more about it.


Maths Task W5 T2

During the lock down in my maths WS (Workshop) we made a time series graph, In mine I calculated how much sleep I get in a week compared to my sister, if you would like to see my slide show here's the link.

Maths Task W4 T2

During Lock down in my maths WS (Workshop) We created a wheel and put activities on it to do during lock down, we then spun the wheel 30 times and wrote down every spin result and put it on a graph, here's mine.

During the lock down in my reading WS we had to chose a text from the selection the teacher gave us and create a DLO and add a interesting part of the text and add screen shots of the text for proof and what it made us think about, here's mine.


Maths W3 T2

During the lock down in my maths WS we were learning about tree diagrams, we then had to make our own tree diagram and show it on a DLO, I made a slide show explaining how to use a tree diagram and the steps to growing out your branches, here's the link to my slide show if you want to see it.

Maths Task W8 T2

This week in my maths workshop we had to choose 4 strategies to show on our DLO and explain how they work and an example of how to use it, here's mine I did it on paper. (It's double sided)




Reading Task W8 T2

This week in my reading WS we had to do 3 create tasks! we had to read 3 different books and make a create task for each one, I did all the drawing tasks and it took me ages but I did it and it was really fun here they are.

For the first one I chose the story Gustav the Goldfish by Dr. Seuss and you had to make a wanted poster like they escaped prison or they did a crime. (Ignore my arm) you can call the number if you want.. it's McDonald's.. please get me some fries.


For the next one I chose Green eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, I chose the task where we had to make our own book cover, I'm actually pretty proud of mine you can also search the real cover if you want, but anyway here it is.


And for my last one I chose the book lost and found by Oliver Jeffers, and basically you just find an animal in the book and draw it and what scene it's in.
