Reading Task

In my reading workshop we read about Papua New Guinea, and Caritas in Papa New Guinea, what they do there is help with gender equality and the dehydration, here are some facts we found while reading. 
Papua New Guinea's population at the moment is at 8.78 Million people

Maths Follow up task

In my maths work shop we had to make a google drawing with problems on them and pair up with someone else and they have to solve what you have done, the problems had to be based off of what we were learning, here is what I did, Can you solve them?

Fair Game

For my reading follow up task we were told to put our fair game design on a google drawing and explain how to play it, but we have to write 2 different instructions, one for a 5 year old, and one for a 10 year old, the 5 year old one should be basic and easy to understand but the 10 year old one has to be a bit more complex, (we only got to choose one to put on a blog so here's the 5 year old one) Would you play this game?

 

First Blog of 2020

Hello. it's been a while, welcome to the first blog of 2020, I'm now a year 8 in the Kaupeka hub, this year I hope that we get to do more art, I'm excited for the projects we are gonna do at the end of each term, in the Holidays I went to Hamner springs with my cousin, we went on the new slide it went really fast but it was fun. What did you do in the holidays?

Reading task

In week five we read a story about scuba divers using different method's to research the different types of fish in the lakes, oceans and any under water areas we filled out a small template on about what think about the different types of method's and if they Author would recommend them. Have a look at mine.

All about Lorde

In the Kaupeka hub we had to chose from three activities the Summer Learning Journey provided to us, I chose the one about Lorde, it's where you have to gather up some information about Lorde and put it on a google drawing and make it look pretty here's all the information I got. 

Pool day!

On Friday we had a pool day, we got on a bus and went to Welthem pool, once we got there we sat down and they sent us off in groups to the changing rooms so we all got dressed and jumped into the pool, every now and then they threw in some pool toys that we could jump on and stuff, I had a lot of fun with my friends on this one floating thingy that we tried to stand up on, the pool opened and they let people go in year groups like the youngest first, which I think was year 5 then 6 then 7 then 8, I'm year seven so it took a while for our turn, when it was our turn me and my friends went down together in some weird and fun ways like backwards, head first, and all that stuff, once we went down the slide we spun around and hit the sides of the slide and jumped back into the pool and kept on trying to stand up on float things. I had a lot of fun with my friends.
